Dr. Morrison
|   |
Dr. Morrison began her career in chiropractic after suffering a back injury which
traditional medical treatment was unable to help. Following the advice of a friend
she tried chiropractic treatment. She was so impressed with the results that she
chose to pursue a career in chiropractic. Dr Morrison graduated from Life
Chiropractic College West with highest honors and subsequently earned certification
as a Chiropractic Sports Practitioner.
Dr. Morrison also gained valuable clinical experience while participating in a volunteer program in Mexico. The program was located in a region with scarce medical resources and was designed to treat people who otherwise would not have access to chiropractic treatment. On a local level, Dr. Morrison has volunteered as a first aid and sports injury doctor for Mustang League soccer tournaments, Pleasanton Youth Football League, the Contra Costa Special Olympics, Avon 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk, MS and March Of Dimes Walks. As a member of the American Chiropractic Association she is kept abreast of new developments in the chiropractic profession. Through her education and experience Dr. Morrison has mastered a variety of adjustive techniques, or ways to realign the bones and joints of the body. Beyond the regular treatment, Dr. Morrison provides information on relaxation techniques, posture retraining, nutrition, injury rehabilitation, preventative stretching and exercises. In her practice she utilizes physiotherapy equipment including ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation, and microcurrent, as well as a variety of therapeutic massage techniques. On average a treatment lasts 30 minutes. Dr. Morrison assesses every patient individually and tailors her treatment to each person's unique needs. As a result of this individualized approach to treatment Dr. Morrison enjoys a high success rate. Patients leave her office feeling better, with an understanding of their condition. |
